Welcome to the National Bible Quiz Officials Certification Website.  This site is here to assist you in developing your officials through an on-line certification test.

In June of 2004, the National JBQ Advisory Committee met and agreed that there is a need to have officials work towards better understanding of the rules of JBQ and to be more qualified to officiate at matches, especially at District, Regional, and National level competition.  One such test offered is a test developed out of the Minnesota JBQ district.  That is this test, and it is now available to assist you with developing your officials, and helping them to be better qualified to work at JBQ events.

This is not the only certification test that exists, but it offers you several advantages.  Being on-line makes it easy to take, grade, report, and also update as required.  Cost is nominal, and the more officials you have to certify, the cheaper it is.  There are no "paper" results to mail, everything is done electronically. 

Many people ask me what is required for certification / recertification.  Most districts are recommending that after the initical certification that officials "recertify" every other year to ensure that they are up to speed.  This site makes no specific requirements around this topic - it is up to the individual district / church to decide that.

Proceeds from the charge for the test are divided between several entities, including the National JBQ office, the Minnesota JBQ program, and Regional JBQ Coordinators to assist with offsetting the costs of running JBQ activities.

Cost to certify your officials is $5.00 per church.  Districts wishing to participate may also sign up and pay as a District versus as individual churches. District fee is $100 per district for as many teams as you have.
